LDPE (Low‑Density Polyethylene)

LDPE features soft texture, high transparency and good ductility, with wax‑like touch and satisfactory elasticity. Its density ranges from 0.91‑0.925 g/cm³. It delivers excellent low‑temperature flexibility, good chemical resistance against acid‑alkali corrosion and superior electrical‑insulation performance. However, it has relatively low mechanical strength and poor heat resistance, whose continuous‑service temperature is generally below 80 °C. Its oxygen‑barrier capacity is limited, and it is prone to ageing under ultraviolet radiation and thermal exposure.

Main Applications

Film & packaging: Mainly used for various packaging films including food cling wraps, shopping bags and garment‑packaging bags. For agriculture, it is made into mulch films and vegetable greenhouse films. It also works as base material for composite flexible packaging, serving as inner liner for milk and beverage packages.

Injection molding: Small daily‑use plastic articles such as bottle‑cap liners, toys, sealing containers and household plastic components.

Extrusion coating: Waterproof inner coating for paper cups and cartons (milk cartons, juice cartons), as well as heat‑seal coating for aluminium foil and paper to realize moisture‑proof and heat‑sealable functions.

Cable & tubing: Insulating sheaths for wires and cables, and various flexible hoses including medical tubes, laboratory conduits and squeeze bottles.
